The Hinchinbrook Channel is a fishing paradise located between Townsville and Cairns in North Queensland. Just 1.5 hours north of Townsville and 2.5 hours south of Cairns, this pristine waterway is home to some of the best barra and estuary fishing in Australia.

Our home base is Ingham, situated at the southern end of the channel, just a 15-minute drive to the Dungeness boat ramp in Lucinda, where most of our charters depart.

Located at the northern end of Hinchinbrook Island, Missionary Bay features a large protected waterway with nine creeks, deep holes, and rock bars—perfect for live bait fishing for Barra and Mangrove Jacks.
